It’s not always easy to spot imperfects in your images, whether it’s blemishes on skin, unevenness in gradients or even dreaded sensor dust. This “Crazy Curves” trick can help.

It’s really simple:

  1. Create a curves adjustment layer.
  2. Create 3-5 additional points on the curve, then push each point to the top or bottom, alternating. First one from the left starts at the bottom by default, so the next one is at the top, the following one is at the bottom and so on.
  3. Marvel at your great retouching work… or be horrified by the work still left to do. 😀
